Curriculum Overview

Tindley Summit Academy is committed to providing our scholars with a top-level education through a rigorous curriculum as outlined by the Indiana State Standards.  In order to do this, the curriculum must meet the depth of standards, provide a conceptual understanding of math, (not just a way to find the right answer), engage scholars in habits of discussion, and allow scholars to engage in a productive struggle by doing the “heavy lifting”

To achieve all of the above goals, Tindley Summit Academy has chosen the “Achievement First” Curriculum.  Achievement First is a network of successful charter schools on the east coast of the United States. They have created a curriculum that allows us to achieve our goals.

Our curriculum consists of many parts to allow our scholars to achieve success. Our curriculum frameworks will provide a breakdown at each grade level.
